Privacy Policy

SEVN (“SEVN”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Beautech AI. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. SEVN is for people 18 and older only.

1. The short version

• You sign in with Apple or Google — we never see or store your password.
• You’re anonymous to other users: everyone is an emoji alias. Your real name and face are never shown to anyone unless you choose to share them in a chat.
• Your hearts and your match-night picks are private. We never show them to others or sell them.
• The short clips you post to Topics are deleted 48 hours after posting (or as soon as you post a new one). Match Night circle clips, where available, are deleted 24 hours after the circle ends.
• You can delete your account and all your data at any time, from inside the app.

2. Information we collect

You give us

• Account / sign-in: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique account identifier and an email address (Apple may provide a private relay address). We do not receive your password.
• Birth month and year: to confirm you are 18+. We do not store your full date of birth.
• Onboarding preferences: your gender, who you’d like to meet, city, lifestyle tags, chronotype, intent, and an emoji alias. (Because this includes who you want to meet, it may indicate your sexual orientation; we use it only to form your circles and never display it to other users.)
• Clips, photos and messages: the short clips you record in-app, and — for Topics posts only — a photo or video you choose to pick from your device's photo library, plus the messages you send in matched chats. Photo-library access is only ever used when you tap to pick media; we never access your library in the background. Every post, whether live-captured or picked, is moderated before anyone sees it.

Collected automatically

• Device push token (so we can send notifications) and basic technical identifiers needed to run the service.
• We do not collect your device GPS/precise location. “City” is a preference you select, not your device location. We use no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. How we use your information

• To create your account and verify you are 18+.
• To match you through the Topics feed and its invites, and — where available in your city — to form anonymous Match Night circles, from your preferences.
• To deliver clips, hearts, match results, and chats, and to send notifications.
• To keep SEVN safe: automated moderation of clips, and handling reports and blocks.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Anonymity and what others can see

• Other members see only your emoji alias and the clips you choose to post.
• Hearts you give and the picks you make on match night are visible only to you. Matches are revealed only when both people pick each other.
• Your real name, contact details, and any verification data are never shown to other users.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run SEVN, under contract and only as needed:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and backend hosting.
• Hive (thehive.ai) — automated moderation: every clip and photo is scanned for unsafe content before it is shown to anyone.
• Expo / Apple Push / Google FCM — delivering push notifications.
• Apple / Google — sign-in.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users.

6. How long we keep it

• Clips and photos: Topics posts are automatically deleted 48 hours after posting, or as soon as you post a replacement (only one is live at a time). Match Night circle clips, where available, are deleted 24 hours after the circle ends. Reported media is kept up to ~30 days for safety review, then deleted.
• Chats: kept while the match exists; deleted when you delete your account.
• Account and preference data: kept while your account is active.
• On account deletion: your clips, chats, and account data are deleted. Limited records tied to safety reports may be retained for a short period, then erased.

7. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account and data any time: in-app, Settings → Delete my account.
• Depending on where you live (e.g. Hong Kong PDPO, Taiwan PDPA, or GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your data, or to object to/restrict processing. Contact us at beautechai.hk@gmail.com.
• You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.

9. Children

SEVN is strictly for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it. See our Child Safety Standards.

10. Where your data is processed

SEVN serves Hong Kong and Taiwan. Your data may be processed on servers located in Singapore and by the service providers listed above. We take steps to ensure your data is protected wherever it is processed.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date; if changes are significant, we will notify you in the app.
